Job Summary/Essential Job Functions: Under the Supervision of Carpentry Foreman, or designated Sr. Carpenter, the Carpenter will perform general carpentry work including layout, repair, renovation, and maintenance of temporary and permanent buildings and structures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Construction of new walls.
Hangs and finish sheetrock.
Hangs doors and install hardware.
Installs ceiling grids and tile.
Installs tile floors and base mold; finish and trim.
Cleans work areas, machines and equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years carpentry work experience. The successful candidate must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints; possess knowledge of carpentry procedures and equipment and basic knowledge of other skilled trades.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: (VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE IS REQUIRED).
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. This position requires the ability to walk over extended periods, the ability to transverse uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces; and work while bending and stooping.
