Full Time 40 hours Grade 055 Medical Center Facilities Operations Schedule 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall work activities of the Area Supervisors and their assigned shops, including the overall responsibility of monitoring the Preventive Maintenance Program. Participates in the selection process for vacancies. Develops policies & procedures and monitors to assure consistent business practices are followed throughout Medical Center Facilities Operations. As needed, supports supervisors and/or area Managers in discinplinary and grievance procedures. Assures overall compliance with regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, NYSDOH, etc) through internal auditing of work records and database reporting. Represents and prepares reports on behal fo the department on the Environment of Care Committee (ECC). Provides coaching and mentoring to Supervisors to assure professional growth. Assures facility performance meets needs and expectations of customers. Will be on-call for off shift emergencies on a rotational basis and provide back-up support as required. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Engineering, Engineering technology, Construction Management and at least 4-5 years of experience in operations and maintenance of a large facility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
