The Managing Director will serve as a key member of an executive cabinet tasked with executing operational and strategic goals conceived by ART Senior Leadership and the Board of Trustees.
Specific responsibilities are:
Oversee the strategic and daily administrative operations and general management of the A.R.T.
Review, analyze and develop the strongest possible organizational structure to support the ART's growing and evolving programmatic and operational initiatives
Identify and assess all substantive internal and external issues that affect the theater's operational performance and, in conjunction with the Artistic and Producing Directors, continuously inform the Board of Trustees as to their impacts on an ongoing basis
Represent the institution externally and communicate key messaging to ART's stakeholders and constituents
Work in partnership with consultants and staff to address capital improvements, theater renovations, facility expansions and construction projects undertaken by A.R.T.
Manage and participate in long term strategy planning for the organization; helping to address priorities including regular season planning, strategic planning for the Institute of Advanced Theater Training and other A.R.T. initiatives

Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and ten years of management experience in a theater setting.
