The Building Maintenance Coordinator in Facilities and Property Management (FPM) is responsible for a variety of building maintenance related tasks. This position will work in a lead role over facilities staff and student employees in both planned and unplanned campus building maintenance activities aimed at maintaining PSU's building envelops and hardscapes.
In addition to the lead responsibilities undertaken by the Building Maintenance Coordinator, day-to-day tasks taken on by the role may include: maintenance, repairs and replacement of equipment found in offices, classrooms, laboratories and common areas; building architectural systems and elements typically involving windows, doors, glazing, insulation, floor coverings, projection screens, furniture, locks, ceilings, gutters and stairs.
This position will also perform work such as rough concrete installation and removal, carpentry, pressure washing, painting, and site cleaning.

Valid driver's license.
Successful completion of a background check.
Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of facilities with an emphasis on painting, carpentry and building maintenance services.
Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
Experience in overseeing or coordinating a team of individuals performing building maintenance, construction or related work.
Proven ability to perform work with an appropriate professional customer service orientation.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with the diverse campus community and staff in the performance of work.
Proven ability to perform the physical requirements of the job as mentioned in Working Conditions above.
