In addition, the Sourcing & Procurement Associate Director (IT) will deliver value to customers, communicate effectively, lead change and innovation, drive sound and disciplined decisions, and inspire high-quality execution. The Sourcing & Procurement Associate Director (IT) will be expected to: Develop, execute, and manage technology supplier performance management, contracting, and purchasing strategies for assigned IT Software suppliers. Execute category management requests for assigned suppliers with a focus on proactive collaboration with stakeholders to continuously improve the category strategy and sourcing processPrimary Responsibilities:Negotiate and manage administration of various IT Software, Application Service Provider, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supplier agreements. Draft supplier plans and develop sourcing, contracting, and procurement strategies taking into consideration the rapidly changing IT Software spaceCommunicate sourcing and procurement requirements to stakeholders and facilitate feedback for strategic supplier performance management adoptionEnsure appropriate supplier performance management in alignment with business strategyExecute strategic supplier rationalization initiatives across one or more business segmentsUnderstand and drive alignment of enterprise supply chain strategies with targeted technology vendors and applicable stakeholders in accordance with overall business and financial goalsManage and influence relationships with applicable stakeholders, including executive level individuals, across the enterprise to drive support of the sourcing and procurement value propositionIdentify, define, and implement supplier strategies, opportunities to leverage supplier spend, and cost savings opportunitiesManage enterprise sourcing and procurement strategy for assigned suppliers
Required Qualifications7+ years of progressive experience in negotiating IT Software contracts, developing market-leading sourcing and procurement strategies, and leading complex strategic sourcing projects in a cross-functional team environment5+ years of experience benchmarking, constructing, and negotiating complex master agreements and statements of workHigh energy/impact individual with demonstrated ability to succeed in a high demand multi-tasking environmentDemonstrated ability to successfully navigate through ambiguities/difficult obstacles using facts, alternatives identification, open-mindedness, thought-through strategy, and superior leadershipSuperior organizational, project management and communication (written and verbal) skillsStrong understanding of IT Software, SaaS, and Cloud licensingKnowledge of e-Procurement tools (ex, Ariba); Demonstrated ability to think strategically but execute plans when directedAbility to concisely articulate positions and garner support quickly from various levels of business and procurement leadershipStrong analytical skills (effectively supports decisions on factual data and analysis) and problem solving skills Preferred QualificationsBachelor's or advanced degreeIntermediate skill level in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (build presentation decks), Advanced skill in Word, Outlook, and Power Point (create presentation decks) Experience utilizing Procure-to-Pay and Contracting modules (or similar procurement systems) UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
