Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree and two years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a medical practice setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant patient financial/insurance services experience, EPIC EMR and leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills required.
Job Standard / Operational Needs: Provide administrative support to the Pediatric and Adolescent Center. Assist in coordinating the resident schedule to match resident availability, assuring residents meet their continuity numbers by maintaining an efficient reporting system, regularly communicate with faculty advisors and residents. Assist with preparation of monthly report of continuity clinic activity by compiling statistical data relative to the number of visits per team, number of patients assigned to each provider and track comparisons to previous years. Collect and analyze KPI data, write reports and organize appropriate record-keeping systems for Team Leader. Maintain and work appropriate work queues in the computer system, including but not limited to the account, charge review, claim edit, and router review work queues. Coordinate and order business office supplies for UPAC, ensure proper storage and inventory at all times. Assist in orientation and training of new staff by sharing knowledge, providing guidance and sharing constructive feedback in a positive manner. Act as a resource to front office staff, update staff regarding changes in policies, and resolve the more complex situations/questions referred to by staff. Assist and support all front office duties including but not limited to: Accurate and timely scheduling of patients, obtaining authorizations for specialty referrals, friendly, accurate and timely patient registration, patient checkout, scheduling appropriate follow-up appointments, distribution of patient satisfaction surveys, printing, faxing and managing phones. Maintain current knowledge of department policy and procedures and comply with departmental rules and regulations.
