Advertised Summary Job Description: ONE YEAR TEMPORARY POSITION:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Systems Development, the Senior Analyst is a key part of a team responsible for the development and maintenance of both PeopleSoft and related systems. This position plays a key role as liaison with various client groups within both Human Resources and the University and supports the University's business through development of its integrated HCM, ERP and Reporting applications.
Ongoing responsibilities include but not limited to: - Tier II Support for HRPC Helpdesk Issues - Works closely with the entire HRIS team in the coordination of development activities, and response to business needs. - Works closely with representatives of diverse business functions University-wide in the specification of HCM work units. - Collaborates with a team focused on the continued maintenance, implementation, development and testing of PeopleSoft HCM, Time & Labor/Absence Management and Payroll modules. - Translates functional needs into technical specifications and engages the CUIT and EBIS development teams in the construction of this work. - Develops and engages in robust testing of work objects. - In conjunction with the CUIT PeopleSoft team, participates in the quarterly application of patches and fixes, overseeing end to end testing in relevant functional areas. - Performs related duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 5 years of related experience, preferably in an HR/Payroll environment, required.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: -Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. -Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including: teamwork, analytical thinking, and client/customer awareness. -Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects. -Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. -Ability to be precise and attentive to detail is essential. -Strong computer skills and knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM/Payroll required. - Advanced Excel and SQL
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with process management/improvement preferred.
