Analyzes and reviews claims for accuracy, completeness and eligibility. Prepares and maintains reports and records for processing.
Duties and responsibilities
Input all workers compensation and OSHA reportable data into Viewpoint for OSHA 300 reporting
Report all worker injuries to insurance carrier by inputting data from field reports and Human Resources database into online reporting form
Utilize Excel spreadsheets to track occurrences of auto and property claims as well as potential general liability claims within and surrounding work zones
File and pursue all 3rd party insurance claims when the cost of damages can be recovered and report 1st party claims when indicated
Strong Excel skills
Strong communication skills in English
Strong analytical and process skills
Working knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Act and other applicable state/federal statutes and regulations
Working knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and/or impairments and disabilities
Ability to evaluate all medical and time-loss claims information to make determinations regarding payment of temporary total disability benefits and medical bills
Ability to interpret medical facts presented by a physician and applying these facts in determining an individual's capacity to engage in gainful occupation
3 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Viewpoint accounting software
This office-based role requires minimal travel.
