KGD is relocating their main office to DC early 2018 and is seeking for an Interior Designer or Interior Architect with 3-5 years of experience on corporate, commercial, multi-family, and hospitality interior projects.
The candidate must have the ability to work independently, in small teams, and demonstrate strong communication skills, enthusiasm for problem solving, and ability to work in and foster a collaborative environment.
Candidate must have the capacity to manage multiple assignments and have knowledge of design development, drawing production, coordination, and client relations.
3+ years of Corporate and Commercial Interior Design with a high level design quality.
Comfortable with client and consultant interaction.
Experience in developing design concepts, space planning, presentation drawings and renderings, selecting materials, and developing details required.
An understanding of building codes and construction techniques required.
Experience in preparing construction documents and coordination preferred.
Experience in Construction Administration and/or FFE a plus.
Excellent analytical, visual, verbal and written communication skills.
