Maintain facilities and grounds to ensure continual utility and life safety systems are operational and intact at all times. Maintain facility and grounds to conform with JCAHO and all other applicable regulatory agency requirements are met. Provide support for all other building projects as assigned. Maintains and repairs assigned equipment throughout the Medical Center to include sanitary waste system, hot/cold water system, sprinkler/standpipe system, medical/natural gas system, compressed air, and medical vacuum system.
High School diploma, or GED preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance field or construction related background.
One year of Healthcare related experience preferred.
Valid Colorado driver license.
Current Colorado journeyman Plumbers license or must obtain within 1 year of employment.
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
Knowledge of proper machinery and tool use.
Possess basic knowledge and skills in the following areas: Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Steam Systems, Medical Gas Systems, Building System, and Carpentry.
Vision sufficient to read records, instruments, documentation, and blue prints.
Hearing sufficient to interact with clients who may be unable to speak at normal voice level.
Mobility (including lifting of 75 pounds, bending, stooping, reaching) and dexterity sufficient to handle required equipment and tools associated with job assignments.
May be subjected to biohazard infectious materials, potential exposure to communicable disease, exposure to extreme weather conditions, exposure to hazards related to building systems.
