The City of Tampa Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified applicants to join an exciting team of professionals in guiding the design and development of parks, recreation facilities, the beautification of streets, gateways and neighborhoods and the acquisition and restoration of environmentally sensitive lands.
The City of Tampa is looking for mid-level Landscape Architect to design and manage small to mid-size site improvement projects and provide project support to Senior Landscape Architects through drawing/graphic production, site investigation and information gathering. Interested persons should have a strong knowledge of Florida plant materials, ecosystems, construction methodologies, computerized graphic imagery production, and estimating. Candidates should be creative, efficient, adaptable to changing schedules and priorities, and be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with attention to detail and will be expected to think critically. Superior AutoCAD, GIS and graphic skills are a must.
Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure Requirements: Registration in the State of Florida as a Landscape Architect; or, registration from another state with the ability to obtain Florida registration within six (6) months of employment.
