Under the general supervision of the Manager of Medical Education, manage intern recruitment process including rank meeting and match day events. ?Responsible for all student and administrative support for the Pediatric Program, including all aspects of the second year electives and clinical skills course, third year required clerkship, and seventeen fourth-year medical student electives in the Department of Pediatrics. ?Manage annual Pediatrics Board Review Course. ?Coordinates the Gene Black Summer Program for high school students; and serve as liaison for UCLA undergraduate students. ?Coordinate international resident observerships. ? Responsible for Assist with all Medical Education Office events including senior banquet, resident fall and spring retreats and the annual Pediatric Board Review Course and the Grand Rounds Lecture Series. The incumbent independently prioritizes and completes ongoing tasks following established departmental guidelines and University policies. Other special projects are assigned by the Manager as needed. ?Working hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00 PM, but requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. ?
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty, housestaff, and community physicians; Skill in setting priorities to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, pressures of deadlines, and competing requirements; Computer skills including use of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Ability to use specialized educational software to record PowerPoint presentations with audio and complete the video processing of the lectures; Skill in writing and editing correspondence with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation and with speed and accuracy; Ability to manage and monitor online application system (ERAS). Ability to make oral group presentations to provide information and explain policies and procedures to medical students; Skill in establishing and maintaining subject paper and electronic files; Skill in coordinating meetings and events by determining place, time, and arranging catering, etc;Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly in response to telephone inquiries about the medical clerkships and residency program. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments; knowledge of university policies and procedures; Knowledge of basic math and analysis techniques to compile and construct tables, charts, and graphs; Ability to work occasional weekend days and evenings. ? ? ??
