Academic Dean Solstice, Apogee, Spectrum, and Equinox Programs
Academic Deans (ADs) serve as primary point of contact for all instructional staff, students and parents for their specific program. The AD collaborates with the Program Coordinator to ensure the academic component of each program is meeting expectations and sets a professional tone for the program. There are four AD positions available, one per program.
Employment Dates and Stipend:
Full-time on campus work June 19 – August 10, 2018; final tasks remotely August 13 – 17, 2018
Starting salary $6,200 per summer, increasing to $6,400 depending on CTD Summer Program experience.
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and minimum of 3 years teaching experience required, Master’s degree and Type 75 certification preferred.
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills and supervisory experience in a fast-paced academic setting.
Curriculum development, conflict management, customer service, evaluation experience, and experience with PowerSchool or similar school information systems highly desired.
Must be able to lift and/or maneuver at least 40lbs.
Must be able to traverse distances with or without accommodation of at least one mile.
Learn and implement CTD Policies and Procedures.
Uphold and promote the CTD Honor Code among staff and students.
Assume program-related responsibilities as requested by CTD administrative staff.
Serve as head of academic affairs, responding to staff and family concerns in a timely manner.
Support instructional staff, encourage collaboration between instructors and teaching assistants, and gather information through classroom observations; provide timely, meaningful and constructive feedback
to academic staff regarding documentation and instructional activities.
Communicate with families regarding academic concerns Address and appropriately document staff and student conduct issues.
Respond to student concerns and needs in a positive and supportive manner.
Train instructional staff on evaluation systems and CTD policy/procedures.
Generate, organize, and distribute academic data and documents.
Inform administrative staff of student or staff concerns as appropriate.
Track confidential student health information and communicate to instructional staff as appropriate.
