Columbia County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a Construction & Facility Maintenance Manager. The incumbent in the position will provide direct management and oversight of the County’s capital improvement plan including, but not limited to project planning, design, budgeting, and construction management of SPLOST and related projects.
The incumbent will also oversee the maintenance of county buildings and grounds. The primary purpose of this assignment is to manage, supervise, and participate in the design, construction, inspection, operation and maintenance of a variety of projects and facilities. Supervision of subordinate personnel, budget development, oversight of additional applicable projects, and presentations to Board of Commissioners and the general public.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field and five years’ experience as a Project Manager is required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license is required.
