Provide experience leadership of contracted Design Services for alternative design and construction delivery contracts. Design-Build Managers (D-BM) partner with designated lead Project Managers to ensure design is fully integrated into the overall execution of a high-quality project(s). During design and pre-construction phase, the Design-Build Manager guides all design decisions in order to maintain schedule, budget and quality commitments as well as facilitating constructability and design quality reviews.
• At least 10 years of post-college experience in design, program management and construction • Graduate architect with a min of 6 years’ experience working for design firms • Ability to get a US Government Security Clearance • Either interned or worked for a general contractor within the 10 years of post-college experience preferred • Proven collaboration with clients, design consultants, builders and subcontractors • Knowledge of conceptual estimating and scheduling • Strong dedication to team environments (big room) and good translator between the languages of design and construction • Self-starter and must thrive on problem-solving • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks and projects • Comprehensive working knowledge of design process, zoning and building codes • Able to champion innovation encompassing technology, materials and sustainability • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Revit
