Empire Roofing is seeking experienced Roofing Sales People for multiple markets. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth working knowledge and understanding of roofing sales, roof replacements, estimating and project management. Position reports to the Local Partner and the Executive Vice President. Must be able to operate at a high level of autonomy. Must also have a working knowledge of manufacturers, materials and project specs/cost.
Sell work at specified sales margins and markup cost
Obtain sales goals outlined by management
Ensure that all work sold brings value to the client
Maintain required information in sales database necessary to prepare ongoing call reporting and provide documentation of tasks, calls, meetings, emails, etc. performed related to current and potential clients
Develop and maintain solid industry relationships
Prepare detailed job estimate package which includes a full written description of the job including detailed roof map, photographs, measurements, the location of penetrations, core cuts, and other pertinent information necessary to develop an accurate cost estimate. Information must be adequate to support the estimating process and information required by other divisions to provide project support.
Obtain management approval of all proposals prior to delivering to the client is required.
All commitments to current or potential customers must be made in writing and filed accordingly.
Communicate any scheduling changes for sold projects, as required.
Visit the job site periodically to evaluate progress and detect any unanticipated problems which may have not already been identified.
Perform final interview/walk with the client to deliver warranty and hand-off to maintenance department for all jobs completed.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in roofing sales, estimating and/or project management. *Equivalent commercial construction sales experience will be considered.
Experience in preparing detailed project estimates for large commercial projects.
Ability to carry and climb ladders, confidence on the rooftop, ability to take roof samples (cores) and to thoroughly document roof conditions, measurements, etc.
Proven sales success track record.
At times, the position may require work between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. or weekends.
Demonstrate a commitment to excellence, success, and honesty.
Be presentable and professional.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation Package: Depending on Experience
