Leads University projects for the Medical Center Team in Facilities Operations and Development (FOD), Office of Design and Construction (FDC). The team delivers projects for three core customers: Wexner Medical Center, Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. The Senior Project Manager (Senior PM) will oversee, manage and direct multiple complex design and construction projects, ensuring that projects run according to schedule, meet financial objectives, are cost effective, and meet organizational goals. Responsibility for programming, estimating, design, and construction oversight. The Senior PM ensures that established procedures and applicable codes are followed and quality standards are met; ensures that project program, user's needs, and project designs are consistent; works closely to collaborate with other FOD entities and campus customers.
Knowledgeable in all aspects of local building code requirements, ADA, Life Safety, etc. Knowledge of JCAHO, ILSMS, NFPA. The Senior PM will collaborate with epidemiology, hospital safety, compliance and operations. Hours and days may vary due to project needs. May be required for 24 hour emergency call. Potential Travel to sites outside the Columbus Campus may be required for this position.

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, a related field, or a combination of education and applicable work experience; 8-10 years of experience managing complex construction projects; demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams & build consensus; familiarity with state and local building codes; knowledge of applicable Life Safety, National Fire Protection, and Health Care Facilities codes; excellent communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; good written and verbal communication ability to manage multiple, unrelated projects simultaneously, experience in leading and managing construction management staff; detailed working knowledge of building systems, design, and construction techniques; experience negotiating contracts & facility management experience; Project Management Professional, Registered Architect, Professional Engineer, Registered Landscape Architect.
Target Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually
