The Vice President of Solutions Operations Management is responsible for developing and overseeing the newly-created Solutions Operations Management Department comprised of the following director-level units: Compliance, Business Management Improvement (BMI), and Grants and Contracts Administration (GCA).
This position directly oversees the majority of procurement, grants, contracts, and compliance activities for ECP. The position is responsible for ensuring ongoing innovation and improvement within ECP through management of the Business Management Improvement unit.
This position is responsible for all management functions within this department including budget, human resources, internal strategic goals, and performance management.
This position requires superior judgement and superior analytical, organizational, management, and communication skills. Requires knowledge of government contract and grant management. It also requires the ability to improve operations through the optimal use of existing and emerging technologies.
Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in related field, including senior management experience is required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. Master’s degree in business administration, public administration or related field is preferred.
Develops and implements Solutions Operations Management (SOM) Department with the following Director-level units: Compliance, Business and Management Improvement (BMI), and Grants and Contracts Administration (GCA)
Manages contracts and grants practices, policies, procedures, and systems in a framework that assures compliance with applicable client and organizational rules and regulations
Provides guidance on structuring effective training programs and measuring their effectiveness
Identify and support technology initiatives across ECP
Oversees diverse and talented staff, including completion of work plans, evaluation processes and support for professional development
Gives guidance and mentors subordinates and other staff
Maintains efficient team structure and performance through analytics, processes, and tools
Implements strategies to maximize client engagement
Works with internal leadership team to develop plans and meet future needs
Creates higher return on investment (ROI) and optimizes work flow; implements better procedures and management methods
Improves the operational systems, processes and policies in support of Solutions strategy; specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business processes and department planning
Generates strategies and policies associated with the goals of GCA, BMI, Compliance, and the organization as a whole
Identifies necessary resources, develops and manages budgets, analyzes gaps in department capabilities, and develops strategic recommendations for change
