Here's where you come in:
McKinstry is currently seeking AV Technicians to join their growing PNW division. This is a full-time opportunity where you will travel throughout the Puget Sound to help McKinstry’s corporate clients set up and maintain state-of-the-art AV equipment.
You're great at:
•Reading and interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
•Using hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems-related tasks.
•Performing basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
•Testing point-to-point functionality of systems.
•Monitoring work of Associate AV Technicians
•Communicating daily job site statuses to the Project Manager.
•Working with manufacturers to initiate return material authorizations as needed.
•Reviewing equipment list with customer upon delivery.
•Travelling to various job sites as required.
What we would like to see from you:
•Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues required.
•Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe an efficient manner required.
•Ability to work and think independently and meet deadlines required.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
•Working knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control required.
•Valid Driver’s License required.
•2 years of audiovisual installation experience required.
•High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience required.
•Washington State 06 Low Voltage Limited Energy Electrical License is required for the mid level and senior level positions. Entry level candidates must be able to obtain an 06 training card prior to employment.

•Formal education in electronics or related field
•InfoComm Quick Start to the Audiovisual Industry
•InfoComm CTS, CTS-I
•OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course
•Extron AV Associate Certification
•Crestron Professional Installation Certification
•AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals
