The Facilities Management unit of the Division of Facilities and Services at West Virginia University is seeking applications for a Construction Trades Specialist I. Under the direction of the Carpenter Lead, this position performs carpentry journeyman level work for construction, renovation or alteration projects in WVU facilities. This position also completes work according to blueprints, drawings or sketches, and applicable building codes or WVU specifications.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Perform required demolition.
Erect and disassemble various types of fixed and roll scaffolding, stairways and ladder systems for above ground/floor work.
Move materials and supplies to work site.
