Germanna Community College is seeking a Program Administration Specialist to provide administrative support to the college's Workforce & Community Education department. The position provides primary support to the college's Industrial, Construction, Apprenticeship, and Manufacturing training and credentialing programs. The position requires communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills as well as technical skills utilizing the registration database and course management systems. The position provides direct customer service (in person, phone, and via email) to current and prospective Workforce students, by providing class and registration information, in-putting schedule of classes in the registration database, completing student enrollments and registrations, and processing tuition payments. The position assists instructors by ensuring course materials and resources are available, and resolves student and instructor concerns. The positon requires technical skills needed to ensure the smooth interface within the online registration systems, utilize the state online purchasing and procurement system, trouble shoot A/V equipment issues, generate reports and update the department's marketing fliers and social media. The position also supports events and provides back up support to other Workforce support staff as needed, assists by answering phones, and ensures that documentation and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner. The position also coordinates with other college departments to ensure proper set-up and administration of Workforce programs and services. Salary Range: $30,000 - $36,000 depending on experience and qualifications. State policy pay practices apply. Position is open until filled and a first review of applications will be April 23, 2018.
