Summary of Position
As a Project Manager / Designer II, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-design to construction phase. You will take the lead in building strong relationships with company clients through ongoing communication while being able to develop / modify production drawings and delegate tasks to other team members with the strong sense of time management.
Candidates must be able to:
Manage communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants
Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction
Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
Skills / Competencies
Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
Ability to complete a full set of construction documents; understands how buildings are constructed to create accurate and descriptive technical documents
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skill
Job will require use of the following software:
DataCAD- Knowledge of DataCAD would be a benefit, but it is understood that most candidates will be transitioning from AutoCAD.
Familiarity with Sketchup, Photoshop, Acrobat, Excel, Word, InDesign desirable
Licensure / Credentials
It is preferred that a candidate would be on the path towards licensure. NCARB registration necessary, substantial documented AXP progress preferred. Further credentials and registrations not required but would be viewed favorably as indicators of professional development and community involvement.
