Responsible for the daily operations of a FAR Part 139 certificated airport (Brunswick-Golden Isles) and for the development, and implementation of airport safety and security policies. Liaison between tenants, general public, and airport administration. Performs work associated with construction and other special projects. Knowledge of FARs required. Knowledge of TSA Part 1542 preferred. Must demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communications with strong customer service initiative and work effectively in a team environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or closely related field; one (1) year progressively responsible experience in airport operations and maintenance or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Valid driver’s license required. Pilot’s license and AAAE accreditation preferred. Salary Range $49,964- $77,580 and is commensurate upon experience. The Glynn County Airport Commission (GCAC) manages two airports in the Coastal Georgia region; the Brunswick Golden Isles Airport is a FAR Part 139 certificated commercial service airport with service provided by Delta Connection and has an industrial base with Gulfstream Aerospace and Stambaugh Aviation providing MRO services, and McKinnon St. Simons Island Airport offering general aviation services to the resort communities of Sea Island and St. Simons Island.
