Concentrated functional areas of job performance will include: managing the creation and ongoing maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans and supporting documentation for infrastructure and critical applications; support Disaster Recovery planning and exercises; developing/documenting/improving process, policies and guidelines which support the Disaster Recovery program; and assisting with the management of an actual disaster event which impacts organizational assets.Primary Responsibilities:SME on Disaster Recovery technology and architecture (data replication/backup/recovery, network topology, cloud computing, etc.) Expertise engaging with cross-functional technology teamsStrong organizational skillsStrong analytical skills and the ability to constructively challenge other SME'sProficient in verbal and written communicationWork with limited supervision and self-manage workload to meet deliverable datesStay abreast of new technologies that may advance and/or impact the disaster recovery program
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate/ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required 10+ years of hands on IT experience 5+ years of experience with Disaster Recovery methodology & technology 5+ years of experience writing technical or procedural documents 5+ years of distributed computing experience (UNIX, Windows, SAN, Web, and Database) 5+ years of project management experience and/or leading technology projectsPreferred Qualifications:Business continuity planning or Disaster Recovery certifications Experience with standards such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-34, etc.Experience with SharePoint Designer Experience with Java ScriptExperience with Big Data, Mesos and/or Amazon Web ServicesOptum is a diversified health services and innovation company where data, technology, people and action combine to make great things happen every day.
