Advertised Summary Job Description: The Faculty Practice Organization (ColumbiaDoctors) has a need for a Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst in the Clinical Revenue Office (CRO) in Fort Lee, New Jersey. The Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for providing analytical assessments, reporting and operational support on all aspects of revenue cycle operations in a central business office. To provide support and assistance to junior Revenue Cycle Analysts and AR management team by providing guidance in payer policies, report writing, analytical reporting and issue tracking of cash impacting scenarios.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: - BA/BS in Business Administration, Information Systems or equivalent in education and experience, plus 5 years of related experience in a physician billing or third party payor environment. - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. - Experience in data extractions (Data Warehouse Tools), MS Excel and other analytical tools. - Proficiency in health insurance billing, collections and eligibility as it pertains to commercial, managed care, government and self-pay reimbursement concepts and overall operational impact. - Ability to work independently and follow through to deliver assignments on time. - Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. This position requires the ability to interact positively and constructively with employees, professional staff, community representatives and carriers.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with GE/IDX and/or EPIC system(s), Experian, Cognos, Microsoft Applications (i.e. Excel, Word and Power Point). - Knowledge of electronic billing systems: front end and back end functions and the willingness to learn new systems, applications and programs.
