Dayton Children’s Hospital, in Dayton, Ohio, has a full time opportunity for an experienced board certified pediatrician to lead our general pediatric practice located on the hospital’s main campus.
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in primary care pediatrics, have experience teaching residents and/or medical students, proven leadership experience, have participated in scholarly activities and in caring for underserved and complex patients.
The successful candidate will be employed by Dayton Children’s Specialty Physicians and must be licensed/licensable in Ohio. We offer a competitive salary, commensurate to experience, and a comprehensive benefit package.
Dayton Children’s Pediatrics (DCP) is a nationally recognized NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home primary care practice focused on the underserved and the community. In addition to providing comprehensive primary care services from newborn to 18 years, DCP offers developmental–behavioral and social determinants of health assessments, immunizations, management of healthy weight and lead poisoning treatment. Volume is 10,000 visits per year; staffed by board certified pediatricians, pediatric residents, social work, behavioral health and care coordination. In the spring of 2019, the practice will move to the newly constructed Center for Community Health and Advocacy, a few blocks from the main campus.
The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics is based at Dayton Children’s and its Integrated Pediatric Residency Training Program provides resident experiences at work at Dayton Children's and the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center. Dayton Children’s Pediatrics is the civilian site for pediatric residency Continuity Clinic, the major site for Family Medicine pediatric experience and for medical student ambulatory clerkships. The successful candidate will oversee these training experiences. All physicians hold faculty appointments with the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
