Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State University is currently seeking to hire an Engineer IV. This position provides engineering services for all utility production facilities. Duties include analysis and troubleshooting of utility systems and equipment, planning and management of utility projects, and coordination of contractors and design consultants. This position is responsible for documentation of plant systems and design standards. This position is also responsible for environmental compliance and compilation of required federal and state regulatory reports.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills; strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to organize and coordinate work within projects; and the ability to understand complex utility systems and equipment.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and 2 years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
-Experience in coal fired facility -Experience with environmental regulations and compliance -Experience in project or construction management
