The Senior Manager, Terminal Operations and Security is responsible for the development and administrations of the rules, regulations, and operating directives relating to terminal operations activities. This position is also responsible for managing the Security Administration functions to include operation of the Security Access Control, Close Circuit Camera and Television System, the Security ID Badge Media Office and System, and the Interactive ID Badging Training Systems. This position will proactively coordinate and interact with airport tenants, outside government agencies, Authority leadership and departmental staff on matters influencing the operations within the terminal buildings of the airport to include terminal construction impacts, maintenance department work efforts, and operation administration of the airport’s flight information system. Incumbent will also be responsible for managing the TSA approved Airport Security Program.

Manages and administers the rules, regulations, and operating directives relating to terminal operations activities; coordinates with airport stakeholders on matters influencing operations within terminal buildings.
Manages the airport’s Terminal Standards and Sign Program.
Manages the airport’s security and ID badging office including issuance of airport security badges, Criminal History Records Checks (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessments (STA) as well as the Airport’s Access Control System consisting of doors, gates and alarm points.
Creates and modifies security policies and procedures according to TSA Regulations; Liaison between TSA and Aviation Authority regarding all security directives and regulations and maintains TSA approved Airport Security Program
Coordinates Access Control and CCTV system applications with Airport Operations Center, Maintenance and IT
Responsible for the Authority’s remote baggage check-in program.
Handles CCTV review and archived video footage requests for Airport’s CCTV system.
Receives, investigates, and provides resolution to customer service issues with airport tenants and customers.
Responsible for Terminal Operations Construction Coordination.
Special Projects as required.

The qualifications to perform successfully in this position are a Bachelor’s Degree in Airport Operations/Management, Business Administration, or closely related field from an accredited college or university. The incumbent should possess exceptional leadership, communication and presentation skills. Successful candidate should possess an understanding of airport security operations and airport facility management, federal, state and local rules and regulations affecting such operations, and business principles and practices as they relate to management of airport operations, and facilities. The incumbent should have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience at a medium or large HUB airport in terminal and security operations or large public facility requiring multiple levels of security, as well as administration of service or management contracts. Must possess a current Driver’s License.
