Tidewater Power Equipment Company, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA is growing and we are looking for a Honda Engine OEM Territory Manager. Tidewater Power has been distributing Honda Engines in the mid-Atlantic for over 30 years.
Proactively generate new engine sale opportunities and cultivate existing relationships for Honda engine and related products in the mid-Atlantic US.
Participate in the creation of a business development strategy that will maximize potential of new sales opportunities for the organization, including penetrating new markets.
Generate leads and follow through on assigned leads.
Produce appropriate quality and quantity of sales proposals and meet deadlines.
Establish effective relationships with customers in assigned territory.
Support customer retention by maintaining effective sales reporting and providing marketing and customer service to existing customers.
Maintain accurate and timely records including email, meeting, and call reports in CRM to aid in effective marketing campaigns to prospects and customers.
Keep up-to-date on relevant industry trends and resources, relaying changes in the market place and other pertinent industry data to management.
Represent the company at trade association meetings and events to promote products.
Operate a company vehicle for travel in assigned territory.
Extensive knowledge of outdoor power and landscaping equipment as well as rental and light construction equipment.
Strong track record of consistent success producing new accounts and expanding existing account relationships.
Proficient oral and written communications skills (ability to read and write, follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively in English). Excellent presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in customer relationship management. This includes being polished, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and patient.
Demonstrated project management and change management skills.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, accounting, and problem-solving skills.
Level of Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Valid Driver’s License with a safe, acceptable driving record.
Level of Experience:
Prefer at least 5 years of related work experience within the retail, wholesale, and manufacturing industry, and at least 3 years of outdoor power equipment sales experience.
