Our client is a global powerhouse in the Telco/IT space. They would like to hire a lawyer to support their business in Saudi Arabia. You must be fluent in Arabic. You must have been educated and/or worked outside of the country.
Experience in general ethics and compliance matters, familiarity with sanctions, trade compliance, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and European anti-corruption laws
Experience in technology or telecommunications industry (construction/engineering could be considered as well)
In-house counsel experience in a global multi-national company
Extensive experience in drafting commercial documents and managing negotiations with customers
Excellent legal skills and knowledge of contract and commercial law
Proven track record in stakeholder management, with ability to interact and integrate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills in English and Farsi
Highly independent and self-motivated. Influences others to support decisions. Develops and applies innovative approaches to complex or infrequently occurring problems.
Formulates operational guidelines to support the business teams

Provides general legal advice, guidance and direction to the Market, which will include litigation or disputes, corporate governance, labor and employment and regulatory matters
Drive and Lead legal support on deals and business opportunities including drafting, deal structuring and negotiating contracts with customers and relevant third parties; providing input into Statements of Compliance (SOC); providing input to the contract risk assessment processes; attending the contract approval and validation meetings; cooperating closely with the bid team, head of sales, Project Contract Management and other business stakeholders on deals
Efficiently manages engagement of external counsels and legal costs within the CO L&C budget
Supports the development of business teams by providing legal training
