The Registrar is a senior member of the Enrollment Management team and is responsible for providing leadership and accountability in the maintenance of academic records and in the development, implementation and enforcement of academic policies and procedures.
• Responsible for management and oversight of all functional areas of the Registrar's operations. • Supervises a full-time staff of three and is responsible for establishing an appropriate organizational structure as well as staff training and evaluation. • Collaborates with Associate Deans, Program Directors, and Directors to build schedules for academic courses and maintains master course inventory. • Supervises the creation of the schedule of classes each semester and the use of classroom space. • Manages registration, enrollment, grading, final exam administration, transfer credit evaluation, student degree audit, graduation eligibility, and diplomas. • Provides enrollment statistics (students, credits, majors, degrees, etc) to appropriate state and federal offices and to internal and other external sources, as needed. • Provides support for academic advising through verifying degree progress and certifying completion of graduation requirements • Supervises the distribution of student information including transcripts, enrollment verifications, and directory information in accordance with FERPA regulations. • Carries out the academic policies of the college in an equitable and judicious manner; ensures that all academic policies are effectively implemented through the policies and procedures of the office and other academic support units. • Responsible for the functional administration, maintenance, and testing of Eullican/Power Campus Academic Records and Academic Plan modules and provides leadership in developing appropriate enhancements to the system, including joint systems-related initiatives with other administrative offices • Provides FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) training to ensure confidentiality of student records for faculty, staff and students. • Maintains thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding students' records (including FERPA, Veterans benefits. Solomon Amendment and Student Right-to-Know legislation,); ensures that the department's procedures are in compliance with these laws. • Oversees and certifies student enrollment information for the National Student Clearinghouse and NSLDS. • Manages the departmental budget throughout the fiscal year and prepares departmental budget requests. • Non-voting member of the Curriculum Committee, Graduate Committee, Academic Standards Committee, and Program Review Committee but is expected to provide relevant feedback on agenda items • Member of Management Council, Commencement Committee, and Academic Review Committee. • May perform other assigned duties essential to the achievement of student satisfaction and an efficient student services operation.

The Registrar is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Visual Effort: Above average visual effort with frequent exposure to visually demanding work involving detailed work.
Physical Effort: Average physical effort some handling of light weights such as supplies or materials on an infrequent basis (10-15 pounds).
Hazards: Normally, no exposure to job hazards; probability of injury is remote.
