This position supports the Space Information Management System (SIMS), the University's computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system, by creating and maintaining architectural and space floor plans, assigning room numbers for new construction, and other related aspects of the space data inventory. The position will also support the building information modeling (BIM) program and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) by creating and maintaining engineering and equipment floor plans and related attribute data. This position also provides computer-aided design (CAD)technical support for Facilities Management staff.
Facilities Management has over 700 dedicated employees who coordinate campus master planning, manage design and construction, maintain and clean the buildings and the grounds, and provide utilities management.
