Integrated Media Systems (IMS) has been a leading provider of audiovisual design, build and support services for 31 years. We are currently seeking a sales executive in Southern California who has a track record of sales success and the technical knowledge to be mostly self-sufficient. Generate sales of audio-visual systems, including related design, project management, programming, installation, commissioning, user training, maintenance and support services, to existing customers and qualified prospects in the Enterprise, Healthcare and/or Higher Education markets.
Meet with clients to discuss needs and conduct an evaluation of spaces under consideration.
Design basic conference and huddle room solutions for customers and prospects, and work with a design engineer to develop solutions for more complicated spaces.
Develop proposals that contain accurate scopes of work, equipment lists and pricing in a timely manner.
Identify target prospects and design and implement account based marketing campaigns to address their key business issues.
Actively use and update Salesforce.com to complete client contact information, provide detailed notes, and track current and pending activities.
Work with the installation team to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation.
Attend and participate in weekly office sales meetings.
Meet or exceed aggressive Gross Profit targets.
Establish professional relationships with manufacturer sales and sales engineering personnel.
Develop relationships with AV consultants, architects, electrical contractors, general contractors and building management companies.
Follow up on leads within 24 hours of client inquiry.
Create, update and execute sales plans to meet established sales goals, growth and profitability.
Represent company at technological briefings and trade shows as assigned.
Participate in training and professional development activities as prescribed by management.
Adhere to all IMS policies.
A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience.
A self-starter, who has the ability to work and think independently.
An established skill set in both solution and relationship sales.
Proven ability to identify and develop new sales opportunities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Experience developing and running email campaigns.
Ability to understand, present and demonstrate audiovisual products (displays, control systems, speakers, microphones, etc…) and services to prospects and customers.
Ability to conduct site surveys.
Ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
Ability to draft audiovisual equipment lists and basic signal flow sketches.
Requires working knowledge of commercial construction environments (power, conduit, core drills).
Ability to assess millwork and furniture specifications coordinated with audiovisual equipment (credenza, lecterns, conference room tables, etc.).
Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities and meet deadlines.
A self starter, who has the ability to work and think independently.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally.
Valid California driver's license, auto insurance coverage and good driving record.
Clean criminal record.
