The Property Claims Adjuster - Insurance is responsible for overall management of commercial property, pollution, and mold claims involving UHS 260 hospitals. Corporate position with some travel to the field. This role includes loss estimating and overall process management of claims, payments, etc. This role should have familiarity with Xactimate estimating system. This person will need to be well versed on the applicable insurance policies and interpretation. Travel to loss locations/facilities to interact with hospital management, local DPOs, and vendors. This role will work closely with UHS Design and Construction team, insurance carrier, brokers, and consultants. Responsibilities also include full understanding and touch point with our internal systems, i.e., CARPAC.
Essential Job Duties:
Coordinates Claims Management
Coordinates MLA services
Performs site visits to adjust/manage claims
Interfaces with carrier, as appropriate
Tracks progress and analyzes financials
Communicates with the field, leadership
Identifies trends, loss cause analysis
Manages technology platform process to help map facilities in Path
Maintains thorough understanding of property and pollution policies, terms, and conditions and ability to analyze claims for applicable coverage
Maintains full working knowledge of internal CARPAC system work stream
