MTI is seeking an Intern to perform administrative and clerical duties in the HR Global Business Services department located in Bethlehem, PA. The HR GBS Intern, under general supervision, provides support as required in functional areas of a human resources environment, often of a highly confidential nature. Duties may include, but are not limited to, special projects in the areas of Compensation and Benefits, and generating reports.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Assist HR Global Business Services Department with day-to-day responsibilities that help support the various businesses.
Lead Compensation projects including job titling and career paths
Develop process maps of the lotus notes data bases
Lead Benefit projects, including implementation of Green Light Online
Must be proactive and take initiative in seeking opportunities for improvements and to provide support and assistance
Operate and maintain office machinery, including copiers, fax machines and printers
Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving.
Education: Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree program preferably in Human Resource Administration or Management
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to read, write, listen, speak, and understand English
Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Have the ability to work independently, be dependable, and maintain confidential information, integrity and composure at all times

Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to regularly conduct work in a controlled office environment, moving around the office as needed, sitting at a desk, using office equipment, including but not limited to a personal computer, fax machine, copier and telephone.
Constant contact with individuals internal and external to the organization occurs via various methods of communication, typically including face-to-face discussions, electronic mail, phone calls, written letters and/or faxes.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern
Safety Training: A new employee hired to perform the duties of this position is required to be provided New Employee Training by a qualified individual or through the online training system. Additionally, an employee must be provided further training if a job duty/task has changes that will affect the health and safety aspects of that employee’s position. Additional refresher safety training will be required as management deems appropriate or as dictated by government regulations.
