This position manages a team of seven technicians, including an appointed staff position. This position's role is to manage and supervise staff, implement and oversee projects, and write and enact policies and procedures for the Instructional Media Services team. This position is responsible for the successful operation of technology in all class and conference rooms. This position must be able to work independently, define priorities for itself and for the team, and exercise good judgement and decision-making.
Required Qualifications:REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in related field plus at least two years' experience in electronics design, modification and repair in an enterprise or education environment. Experience must include a minimum of one year management or supervision.
Combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered.
Candidate must possess the ability manage groups of part-time and full-time staff to effectively complete small to medium size projects. The candidate must possess knowledge of the construction, use and operation of complex electronic equipment and devices. Knowledge of computers, mobile devices, current operating systems, productivity software, networking and presentation software. Working knowledge of multimedia control units, preferably Extron, hardware and software.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer systems, engineering, telecommunications, business, or systems design.
