CBRE|HEERY is looking for a General Inspector for a Federal project in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
The General Inspector will:
Verify that in-place construction complies with contract documents.
Perform on-site inspection of various aspects of construction project.
Providing daily reports of construction activituies, issues and personnel.
Verifies that construction is in accordance with contract documents, including design, mechanical, electrical and plumbing specifications.
Reviews design documents, including drawings, submittals, and RFIs for compliance with in-place construction.
Participating in progress meetings.
Periodic wage Verification.
Coordination of Quality Assurance Testing.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience with GSA projects preferred.
The inspector should have 15 years of experience inspecting multiple types of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural.
The inspector should be a master, journeyman or certified inspector.
Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Familiarity with Project Management software preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to clients and associates.
Ability to effectively present information.
The inspector shall provide full time off hour inspection services if projects are occurring off hours. If off hours projects are not occurring, the inspector shall work normal hours or a split shift. In the event a project has work occurring on a weekend, the inspector's schedule shall be adjusted according to allow them to be present during the weekend work.
