To recommend, install, program,monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and repair energy management systems andcomponents. This include computerized systems, sensors, transducers, meters andvarious energy conservation devices on campus buildings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, implements, monitors, evaluates, and upgrades energy saving programs; prepares reports involving energy saving programs.
Plans and coordinate construction projects affecting energy management system ensuring conformance with University, local, and national codes and standards.
Troubleshoots systems, identifies problems and recommends changes to the systems.
Modifies and updates computer programs for energy management systems.
Contacts appropriate personnel when failures occur and coordinates communications between Energy Manager and maintenance staffs.
Coordinates and facilitates the transition of energy management system and devices with building staff faculty, or students.
Interacts with employees and students to explain energy management principles and procedures, schedule installations, etc.
Provides training and technical assistance.
Instructs maintenance staff and others in the use and operation of equipment.
Maintains inventory and purchases replacement parts and order supplies. Compiles and maintains records.
Completes work, time and material usage reports.
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and Supervisor.
