Directly manages the university-wide elevator contract for multiple business units at the university and advises university leadership on vendor performance and contract compliance. Reviews elevator fleet operations to identify problematic equipment and trends in performance across the fleet, works collaboratively with business units, vendors and oversight agencies to maintain compliance, resolve elevator problems; maintain equipment histories; review plans and specifications for building renovation, repair, and construction projects; monitors contractor compliance with maintenance standards, plans and specifications; recommends action on basis of study. Attends meetings; assures properly completed documentation; provides a high level of customer service; communicates to customers, coworkers and supervision via written, electronic and verbal methods and devices; performs other duties as assigned. This position primarily works Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but is but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate.
Subject to 24-hour emergency call. In accordance with the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17 this position has been designated as essential short-term status and alternate long-term status. Will require the successful completion of a criminal background check.

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to critically evaluate vendor performance and contract management; ability to report on equipment performance and related document management; knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment/systems and building systems maintenance (including lubrication techniques and materials, ability to understand and interpret technical instructions; plan reading; management facilitation); valid driver's license.
Technical training in building systems operations and/or building system controls; facilities maintenance responsibility on a large, multi-building campus.
Target Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 Annually
