Eagerly engage our clients, conduct client site visits and support business development activities
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Pennsylvania area
Manage all elements of projects and ensure contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction projects
Develop and maintain area Construction Management/Inspection Services staff by recruiting, selecting, managing and training employees; establishing personal growth opportunities and measuring performance
Demonstrate knowledge of on-call service contracts as well as mining contracts for task orders
Update and track financial information including cost projections for projects
Manage the Project Close-out process, including as-builts, final quantities and final acceptance
Focus attention on the success of key project elements: Safety & Environmental, Quality, Schedule and Cost
Must be dependable, follow proper and strict safety protocols at all times
Must possess high integrity & ethics in all aspects of dealing with clients, subcontractors and peers
Required Education, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering
Minimum fifteen (15) years’ Construction Project Management experience
Knowledge of Construction Management/Inspection Services industry, challenges, competitors and business development strategy
Successful background as a trusted advisor to clients with an unwavering ability to solve problems and win projects
Knowledge of on-call service contracts as well as mining contracts for task orders
CM experience in roadway, utilities and structures
Ability to read & interpret roadway plans & specifications
Understanding of QA/QC development and execution process
Familiarity with interpreting contract specifications and standards
PDOT and other local public agency experience desired
Proficient in MS Office software, P6 or other CPM scheduling software
Material Certifications are a plus (Asphalt, Pavement Marking, ACI, Traffic Safety, etc.)
Excellent technical writing ability to include proposal writing for new contracts
Excellent relationship and team building skills
Highly organized, responsive and willing to mentor other
Additional Desired Skills and Experience
NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
NECEPT Bituminous and ACI/PennDot Concrete
NECEPT Field Technician Certification
CDS NeXtGen and/or ECMS Wave 5
10 or more years of PennDot, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission or related construction experience preferred
Work is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
