The General Manager shall be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of event facility as well as oversee all business operations. The General Manager shall answer to both the CEO and the President of DeJoria Center. The GM shall conduct him/herself in a professional manner through leadership, team building and financial acumen. The GM shall direct and coordinate the operations of the company by implementing current policy as well as formulating additional policies which benefit our guests and our company. The GM shall also manage production schedules, oversee staffing, box office, emergency services and overall facility professionalism. Highly qualified candidates shall have experience running a facility of similar size for five years or more and will provide references upon request. Candidates who possess a high level of corporate communication skills and a first class ability to adapt will prosper within our organization.
Manage, coach, lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals.
Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives in order to meet business and profitability goals.
Execute current company rules, regulations and policy as well as develop additional policy.
Analyze labor costs, event costs and profits to meet established and dymanic business goals.
Conduct weekly staff meetings. Discuss successes, failures, improvement techniques in these meetings.
Demonstrate a healthy knowledge of food and beverage operations and procedures.
Manage budgets, event agendas and BEO's with input from department heads.
Manage hiring procedures for full-time and part-time employees.
Oversee Facilities and Sales departments. Provide support and leadership to both departments.
Under the direction of the President and CEO, review and approve accounting practices, budgeting, procurement, event production efficiency and financial reporting.
Maintain constant awareness of current market demand and associated industry trends.
RUN A TIGHT SHIP!
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
5+ years significant experience in the special event industry.
Demonstrate leadership or management experience in fast-growing businesses is preferred
