Under the direction of the Asst. Director of Athletic Facilities , this position is responsible for the assignment of work flow within the group. In. addition the individual will distribute and follow-up on work orders and make sure assigned tasks are completed. In addition, the individual will be responsible for, scheduling part time staff, inventory control, equipment maintenance and purchases and the assignment of overtime. The successful candidate should have good organization skills, good computer and communication skills and have the ability to work with a diverse cliental, inside and outside the University. The Individual should also have good working knowledge of mechanical equipment for limited maintenance needs.
Must have knowledge of operational and setup requirements for athletic events and concerts, including crowd management and general safety and security considerations. Individual must have knowledge of rigging for the purpose of flying concert sound and lights. Must be able to operate and set up various sound systems and scoreboards. Must have general knowledge of NCAA rules and field layout specifications. Must have or willing to obtain a fork lift certification. Should have knowledge or experience on operating light to medium construction equipment; forklifts, lawn mowers, snow blowers and utility vehicles. Must have valid Massachusetts's driver's licenses. Must have the ability to effectively interact with people at a variety of levels within and outside the University. Individual must demonstrate initiative and positive working attitude and be able to work unsupervised. Candidate, must be able to work additional hours outside of their scheduled shift, including weekends, University closure and holidays. must be able to respond to emergency situations on a twenty-four-(24) hour basis. Must have Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS standards. The position work week may change by the business, so schedule flexibility is required. Previous experience working and supervising non-exempt personnel is a must. Bachelor's degree required with 3- 5 years of progressive facility management.
This is an exempt position

Designated shift is Tues. – Sat. 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Position works closely with full time, part-time & Work Study supplemental staff
This position requires a CORI & criminal background check.
This position involves weekends and non-traditional hours.
