Saint Mary's College invites applications for the position of Microcomputer Support Specialist/Mac Lab Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for the management and support of the College's entire macOS fleet of computers, including clusters, classrooms, and those used by faculty and staff of the College. Responsible for computer installation and support of approved application software for faculty, administrative and staff users. Manages all macOS computers using modern imaging and packaging techniques. Provides support for hardware and software for faculty and staff. Provides second-level support for tracking system records that the Helpdesk is not qualified to address or perform. Will also assist in managing and supporting Windows computers as needed. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent required along with technical training and at least two years of experience with microcomputer software and hardware. Additional requirements include an in-depth technical knowledge of Apple computers, software, printing, and network troubleshooting; Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills; Experience with modern imaging and management techniques and technologies for MacOS computers; Experience with tools and programs such as Jamf Pro, DeployStudio, Munki, Apple DEP & VPP, mobile device management, and Apple Remote Desktop; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals; Ability to work both independently and in a team environment; Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism and follow all policies and procedures set forth by the department.
An Associate or Bachelor degree is highly desirable along with comfort with the unix command line; Experience with system management and scripting (shell, Python, Perl); Experience with unix package management software for macOS such as Homebrew; Experience with Windows and Active Directory; Experience with network services including DNS, DHCP, web services, file services.
