The Engineering Internship program is for students that have completed their first year in their respective Master’s program. The John Deere Engineering internship will provide you with opportunities to develop an understanding of John Deere's products and services, establish a network of people to support personal and professional growth. You will gain broad experience with meaningful work related to lean, operations and design.
The Engineering Development Program is for new or recent graduates. The Engineering Development Program is a three-year rotational program which new or recent college graduates build skills that are essential to future business growth and needs. In each project and assignment, you will work to meet specific objectives, demonstrate your knowledge and skills, and maintain a training regimen that develops the competencies you will need to become a world-class engineer.
Full-time positions are also available within our Engineering function.
What will you do?
Produce and evaluate possible design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications together with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
Execute tests and analysis plans for product verification and validation.
Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing scope.
Design operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.
Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs.
Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas.
Do you have what it takes?
Pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration Ag Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Weld Engineering or related degree.
Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
We have internship and development program locations across the United States so you must be willing to relocate and travel domestically.
