To provide professional knowledge, oversight, administrative and managerial skills in the planning and coordination of all phases and activities of enterprise-wide security camera and alarm operations, and PD access control, to support and maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors. This position works with highly sensitive information of a law enforcement nature that must remain secure in compliance with legal requirements.
Manage and support the reliable functioning, connectivity, and expansion of current campus video surveillance system. Install and/or supervise installation of cameras and other security hardware; supervise various technology support staff and students.
Develop short and long-range security and camera placement plans in support of program objectives; provide coordination and implementation of security projects.
Architect Genetec video management system expansion through programming new devices (cameras, intrusion, & access control), updating security schedules, maintaining the user database, regular software updates, and maintaining enterprise-level Genetec certification.
Independently identify, assess, recommend solutions and/or resolve system errors and failures.
Initiate and facilitate the successful execution of new camera installations in existing and new buildings/construction and parking lots.
Responsible for maintaining timely documentation and dynamic tracking of details regarding such projects as camera viewing stations, security integrations with intrusion panels and access control, related reports, etc., in accordance with established schedule and project timelines. Alert appropriate stakeholders of risk areas and recommend action plans.
Document means, methods, and costs associated with assignments and projects. Prepare cost estimates, obtain quotes and follow Purchasing policies and procedures.

Associates Degree plus five years related experience, or eight years related experience, in the installation and management of security, video surveillance, intrusion detection and access control systems, or the equivalent experience. Previous experience with Genetec video management system and Genetec Enterprise-level certification required.
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and ten years of related experience. Advanced understanding of IP enterprise networks with network certification. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification.
