The Trades Maintenance Worker 2 position assists carpenters, electricians and painters in general campus construction, maintenance and improvements.
The Capital Projects and Construction (CPC) unit is part of the Office of Planning, Construction and Real Estate. CPC oversees all renovation and construction projects on campus. Our team works with campus clients on projects from conception to completion and we manage projects of all sizes from painting a room to new building construction. We maintain a comprehensive collection of building plans, construction records, campus maps, and construction-related studies and reports. Materials Management is also part of the CPC team and manages the University's mail, shipping and receiving, central stores, and campus moves and surplus.
High School Diploma or GED.
Journey level skill in maintenance and construction practices.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to use power hand tools and stationary shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
3 years construction experience with interior finishes.
Work experience in a higher education setting.
