Consolidated Glass Holdings (CGH) is seeking an energetic and highly-motivated Sales Representative in the New York City & 5-Boroughs area to drive growth for its core Architectural Glass Fabricator businesses, JE Berkowitz and Solar Seal. -Drive Architectural Sales in the New York City & 5-Boroughs territory for CGH’s leading architectural glass fabricators, JE Berkowitz and Solar Seal.
-Develop existing and new customer relationships to drive new sales and sustainable growth.
-Organize and implement daily/weekly sales plans to meet with customers in the territory, negotiate opportunities and close small, medium and large-sized contracts.
-Maintain customer relationships at multiple levels and departments – Executive-level, Operations, Estimating and Project Management.
-Leverage CGH’s Quote and CRM tools to manage opportunities through the sales funnel and ultimately close business.
-Work directly with CGH Estimating teams to quickly respond to customer quote requests and technical inquiries.
-Work directly with CGH’s Project Management teams to set customer expectations, host project kick-off meetings and monitor order progress.
-Deliver presentations showcasing CGH services & capabilities, and advancements in high-quality architectural glass and security glass fabrication.
-Grow CGH product specification rates by assisting Architects and Building Envelope Consultants with glass selection, aesthetic recommendations, performance requirements, security concerns and other design issues.
-Represent CGH at various regional/national industry events and tradeshows.
-Minimum five-years of experience and successful track record of outside sales, preferably in the commercial construction industry, or specifically in the glass & glazing industry.
-Solid analytical skills, technical aptitude and understanding of complex products and building systems.
-Strong presentation skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
-Strong team orientation and collaboration skills, interaction with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Sales and Project Management.
-Exercises independent judgement and initiative.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office.
-Comfortable working within a CRM and Quotation software program.
-Bachelor’s Degree preferred or comparable industry experience.
