The Performing Arts Center Box Office Manager position is responsible for managing all aspects of the ticket operations for the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. This position will manage and coordinate the ticketing services of all events in the facility, estimated at 150+ performances annually using Ticketmaster Host, Archtics and other related Ticketmaster platforms. A large Broadway Series along with the Bryan Lecture Series, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Masterworks, Pops and Rock Series will be annual events of the venue. The Tanger Center is a brand new, 3,000-seat state-of-the-art performing arts center in downtown Greensboro, NC. This position will oversee a Group Sales Manager, Box Office Assistant Manager and a part time staff of 20+ including a phone room staff. This position will interview, select, and train a roster of part-time event staff in the ticket office operation. During the construction of the venue, the position will focus on the operation of a Broadway telephone sales room using part-time roster staff to make/receive calls, build and update customer accounts and process phone and mail orders for the Broadway series and other subscription based series. The phone room is expected to be an integral part of ticketing operation and will operate with up to 7 operators during peak times. The box office manager will be responsible for developing standard phone scripts, SOPs and FAQs along with a training program for the phone room operators. It is the goal of the Tanger Center Management to provide exceptional customer by ensuring patrons have the best ticketing experience whether by phone, online or in person at the box office. The Box Office Manager will establish ticketing policies and procedures related to the building's donors and donor services. These policies will be applied to all events at the venue. The Box Office Manager will be responsible for establishing best box office practices for day to day operations. These include but are not limited to management of individual show information, financial reporting, internal and external ticket reporting, processing of ticket orders, procedures for patrons needing special accommodations and customer service resolution. This position will interact with a variety of promoters and presenters. Each promoter and organization will have individual box office information and report preferences. This position will be responsible for the creation and build of all performances using TM systems, including building events, managing inventory, setting up reporting and providing settlement reporting. As a Ticketmaster and Archtics venue, this position will also use EMT and the suite of TMOne tools including reporting, scaling and inventory. The box office manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Archtics Account Manager page for the venue. This will involve adding content, building packages, events and special offers. This position will oversee cash management of ticket and parking operations including ticket sales, petty cash, parking revenue and general vault operations. It will work closely with the business office to provide financial oversight and event settlements. This position will work closely with venue advertising staff to maintain effective CRM and communication with subscribers. The position will also work closely with the Front of House manager to ensure the best customer experience related to seating situations and special accommodations. The person selected for this position must be self-motivated, organized and have the ability to multitask. This employee must have excellent verbal, written and organizational skills and be an effective communicator. This job is Exempt and is not subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of "related" experience "OR" an equivalency of 3 years of college from an accredited College or University and 6-7 years of "related" experience .
Minimum 1 year of experience working within Archtics.
Experience managing seating inventory for events.
Experience using Ticketmaster host.
Experience scheduling and managing part-time roster box office staff.
Valid driver's license
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field from an accredited College or University
Two years' experience working with a Broadway Series or other similar ticketed series.
Work Schedule: Wednesday-Tuesday; nights, weekends and holidays required based on event activity.

The venue will be located in downtown Greensboro and is projected to host nearly 150 events per year and will be managed by the staff of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
