Telecom Technician coordinates network/telecommunication system, product and/or service installation projects working closely with peers and users to deliver optimum service. Installs and repairs network/telecommunications products and/or services.
Please Note: Looking for candidate with proven ability to safely climb ladders to 24 feet and routinely oift and carry 50 lbs and ability to work in “hard hat” areas. Work on multiple shifts and schedules 24/7. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Reviews existing systems and requirements and recommends changes to incorporate state-of-the-art new technologies
Documents activities, events and materials used in maintenance logs or on service reports.
Prepares system performance/configuration reports.
Provides input to procedures modifications to assist in effective operations of areas of responsibility
Installs, repairs and adjusts communications and related equipment using standard tools and test equipment while following established procedures.
Performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, taking test readings, and evaluating problems.
Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established practices.
Diagnoses complex hardware, software and/or network malfunctions in accordance with established practices.
Ensures optimum user service.
Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
2 years of communications wiring and installation work experience or comparable accredited technical training is required.

Fiber optic experience
