Develops and administers programs in the areas of budget preparation, financial management and compliance, funds control, records management, and warehousing of inventory.
Serves as liaison with contracted food service/vending/beverage/copier fleet vendors to ensure contractual compliance regarding same and maintenance of quality, customer service standards, facilities and equipment. Handles customer and campus concerns regarding food/vending/beverage/copier fleet service, billing, pricing and other food service/vending/beverage/copier fleet concerns, questions, and solutions.
Directs and/or arranges for the maintenance and care of departmental facilities including industrial kitchens, stores, copy/print centers, equipment, supplies, and materials in a manner which promotes efficiency, health, and safety.
Ensures adherence to established college and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs.
Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of a principal bookstore and/or satellite store. Plans, organizes, and oversees the operational aspects to include inventory management, retail operations and customer service, materials handling, maintenance of gross margins, and management of merchandise markups and markdowns.
May develop operating goals and objectives for the HP Print Shop and/or copy centers; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations.
May facilitate departmental changes in physical locations that include maintenance and work orders technology management, renovation and construction.
Develops a campus auxiliary budget that supports continued profitability.
District-wide for assigned functional area: develops, implements, and maintains policies, objectives and short-and-long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals for functional area of responsibility (ie. Bookstore; Food Service/Beverage/Vending; Print Shop/Walk-up Copiers; and Outreach).
